It has been a few years since I have dined at 50‘s Prime Time Cafe at Disney‘s Hollywood Studios. This restaurant takes you back in time where you truly feel transported to a previous era. The servers here are incredibly funny and play along to the whole shtick of the restaurant.

Since I was here last the vegan options have slightly changed but were still very similar to their previous versions. The appetizer here is Cousin Amy‘s Romaine Wedge Salad which now features a red pepper ranch dressing and no longer has the rice paper bacon.
The wedge was more of a bunch of romaine leafs I had to cut up rather than an iceberg wedge. There was a good drizzle of the red pepper ranch and plenty of vegan feta and tomatoes on it. The ranch definitely had a strong red pepper flavor, I would compare it to a red pepper hummus more than a ranch. I liked the bites with the feta as it was creamy, but I doubt I would get this appetizer again. It was just okay to me, I also missed the crunch from the rice paper.
Our entree here is still Cousin Harold‘s Rigatoni Pasta. This option now only comes with chickpeas as the protein and no longer has vegan chicken in it. The pasta can be customized to your preference of heat, we opted for a mid range.
This pasta was actually much better than I expected it to be. I really enjoyed all the vegetables and the simplicity of the meal. Our vegetables included eggplant, zucchini, mushroom, peppers, capers, and arugula. The capers were crispy and added a nice saltiness as well. For someone who doesn‘t go out of their way for a pasta, I would absolutely enjoy this dish again.
The dessert here is still one of my favorite ones at Walt Disney World, the Plant-based Apple Crisp can come as is or A La Mode. You are doing yourself a disservice if you don‘t do it a la mode as the melty vegan ice cream with the hot apple crisp is the perfect combo.
The apples are warm and soft and the crisp is the perfect crunchy texture. This dessert is always so delicious and the perfect balance of sweetness and textures. Truly I would come here just for this dessert.
This restaurant can be booked with the Fantasmic! Dining Package. With the package you get either an appetizer or dessert and then the entree and a non-alcoholic drink (they have vanilla and cherry syrup here for Coke!), so you could enjoy the pasta and this dessert with the package. If you‘re looking for something the whole family will enjoy and also get great seats for this nighttime show I recommend this as one of the many great options at Hollywood Studios.
